GET OUT OF YOUR HEAD - PLAYING THE GAMES OF POV

WHAT'S YOUR POINT OF VIEW?

Establishing a strong point of view helps actors build characters with history and conflict, leading to compelling storytelling.

Students will learn improv comedy techniques from 30-year improv vet Rich Talarico (Second City, MADtv, Key & Peele, SNL) and how to play scenes, emphasizing discovery over intention (another way of saying that being interestED, rather than focusing on being interestING, will lead you to more juicy choices.) Learn how giving and using gifts allow players to focus on relationship over situation and to dig deeper into character and story. Workshop followed by Q&A!

Class is taught by writer/actor Rich Talarico (Second City, iO, MADtv, SNL, Key & Peele, Tonight Show.

Space is limited to 15 students.

REQUIRED: Some actor or improvisational training. Acceptance is determined by H/R and/or experience.
