GRADES 1-3: SUMMER PROGRAM FOR KIDS- CREATE THE PLAY! 08/07 - 08/11
This one-week summer camp is designed for energetic, imaginative kids who wish to explore the art of acting. Using theatre games, improv, movement and voice, young actors will exercise their "whole instrument".
Students will learn:
To conceive and create an original play using the building blocks of folk tales
What a set is and how to constuct one for their original play
About how costume and props help tell a story
Basic On-Camera skills while filming commercials that they design for their play
10:00-11:00 Physical & Vocal Warm Ups & Improvisation
11:00-11:15 Snack Break
11:15-12:00 On-Camera Skills
12:30-2:00 Acting/Play Creation
The final class on Friday will culminate with a presentation for family and friends!
