
SUMMER SMASH UP! GRADES 1-2: ONLINE
Have you been bit by the Acting Bug? Or wonder what it's like to be a performer? Young actors will have the chance to explore the many areas of performance during this Smash-up class. From acting to on-camera; from improv to storytelling, students will experience every variety of theatrical performance. Using fun games and creative exercises, young actors will begin to learn the fundamentals of acting technique, all the while letting their imaginations run wild!
- Using movement, imagination and their voices to encourage theatrical knowledge, creative play and personal growth
- Learn how to build confidence, self-esteem, and teamwork through a variety of theatrical exercises and improv games
- Using the basic fundamentals of acting to encourage creative play, stretching boundaries and learning the skills to perform
Danny Taylor and Mary Franke bring their extensive performance backgrounds to the online classroom. Danny brings his improv and storytelling expertise, while Mary brings her dance and choreography background, giving the students the best of both worlds.
Students must have internet access, as well as a computer/cellphone/ tablet with a working camera and microphone. We recommend that the student use a laptop or desktop computer to get the most out of class, but it is not a requirement for registration.
