ON CAMERA AUDITION WORKSHOP FOR YOUTH: AGES 9-12

Specifically designed to give young actors ages 9-12 tangible audition tools.

Get Camera Ready! This one-day workshop gives students practical, hands-on tools to feel confident and prepared for on-camera auditions.

COMMERCIALS
Students will break down the commercial audition process — from self-tapes and callbacks to booking — while working with a variety of commercial copy, including MOS, single-person, and partner/group scripts. They will learn when and how to improvise, explore techniques for working naturally on camera, and discover how to make authentic choices while effectively "selling" a product.

FILM/TV
Students will also be introduced to short, functional TV/Film scripts, where they'll practice breaking down the material, making specific choices, and taking direction between takes.

Throughout the day, Emmy-winning and Broadway Casting Director Kaitlin Shaw, C.S.A. (Paskal Rudnicke Casting) will offer personalized coaching, share industry insights from her commercial and scripted casting work, and answer questions in a live Q&A. Students leave with practical audition tools, a stronger grasp of on-camera performance, and greater confidence walking into auditions.

Prerequisite: A desire to audition for commercials and/or TV/film. Having taken at least one acting class is ideal but not required.
