Policies and Information for Adult Students
By registering for classes at Acting Studio Chicago, you agree to the below terms and policies as well as fully release, discharge and indemnify Acting Studio Chicago and its employees, agents and representatives from any and all claims which may accrue on account of your participation.
Here at ASC, we take class placement very seriously and work to ensure each student is placed in a class that will appropriately challenge them.
Therefore, placement auditions are required for all new students. Advancement in our classes is dependent upon the consent of the instructor, based on student performance and commitment.
Placement in many of our advanced level classes may be determined by the submission of a headshot and resume. You can upload a current copy of your headshot and resume through your student account on our website.
Please call our office for instructions on how to apply for a class, or you may easily submit your application for a class via your student account.
In order to secure your spot in one of our classes, you must make at least a $100 non-refundable deposit which is applicable toward your total tuition. You can also pay in full at the time of registration.
If you choose to make the $100 deposit, the remaining tuition will be due on the first day of class. If you have entered a saved credit card into your student account, you will be automatically charged on the first day of class. If there is no saved credit card associated with your account, it is your responsibility to pay your remaining balance by the first day of class.
Click here for our payment plan option.
If you need to drop your class prior to the start of the term, you must give the office at least ONE WEEK’S NOTICE prior to the start of your class or workshop. If you do so: Any tuition paid toward the class and the non-refundable $100 deposit will be kept on credit at the studio for up to one year, to be applied to a future class.
The non-refundable deposit will be held on credit at the studio for up to one year, to be applied to a future class. Any other tuition paid will be refunded to you (minus a $5 credit card processing fee).
If you fail to notify the office ONE WEEK prior to the start of your class, you will lose your deposit.
If you drop the class ON THE DAY OF THE FIRST CLASS OR AFTER, the full tuition is non-refundable, non-transferable, and may not be kept on file for a future class.
We take attendance very seriously as regular class attendance helps us offer consistency in the classroom. Therefore, we ask that you call our office at 312-527-4566 and/or email us at email@example.com if you are going to miss class for any reason or will not be able to arrive 10 minutes prior to the start of your class. This helps us get classes started on time.
