YOUTH: CREATIVE QUEST: IMPROV & WRITING
In this exciting new 2-day workshop, youth students in grades 5th-8th will develop a versatile set of tools for devising their own work! Award-winning playwright, actor, and director Terry Guest and Second City alum, actor, and writer Spencer Diaz Tootle co-facilitate a curriculum rooted in structured writing and improvisation.
Through focused and imaginative exercises and games, students will learn how to generate dynamic characters for themselves as well as how to build a story with scene partners and co-writers collaboratively. These practical skills will empower our young actors, improvisers, and burgeoning writers, giving them the confidence to create and perform their own work!
This workshop is perfect for the young actor who wants to explore playwrighting and improvisation!
