This exciting one-week intensive is designed for teen actors who wish to train in a professional environment.

Using improv and theatre exercises we introduce the fundamentals of relationship, action and personalization. Using the language of Shurtleff's Guideposts, we explore scene study. Students also have classes in On Camera, Viewpoints and Stage Combat.

Our teen students have the opportunity to work with members of our dynamic professional faculty; working Chicago actors and directors.  Toward the end of the week Studio Director Rachael Patterson will accompany the students to The Goodman Theatre for a tour and a discussion about auditioning, casting and professional acting work for the teen actor.

Classes include:

  • Acting Technique
  • Scene Study
  • On-Camera Technique
  • Viewpoints
  • Stage Combat
  • Improv
  • A Backstage Fieldtrip to the Goodman Theatre
  •  Q&A with the Casting Director of the Goodman

This program is ideal for teens who have some experience under their belts, and are ready to train in a professional environment. No audition is necessary for this program.
