ADVANCED SCENE STUDY WITH RYAN KITLEY
Eight weeks, three scenes, three partners...one damn good time.
In this course for experienced actors, you will explore, in-depth, three different scenes over eight weeks. Hone your script analysis and rehearsal skills with talented peers, an expert instructor, and compelling scenes. Throughout the course, Ryan assigns scenes on a prescriptive basis to challenge you and your classmates to take greater risks and explore acting choices (safely) outside your comfort zone.
Ryan Kitley is an award-winning actor who has worked on Chicago screens and stages for nearly three decades as an actor, an improviser, a voiceover artist, and a
director. Ryan is an adjunct faculty member at The Theatre School at DePaul,
where he directs for both the MFA and the BFA programs.
Please note: this advanced class requires significant outside work; students must rehearse outside of class at least twice a week per scene. For two weeks during the session, actors will work on two scenes simultaneously. During those two weeks, they will meet with two partners twice a week outside of class (a total of four rehearsals).

In the event of inclement winter weather, your class will move to Zoom. ASC staff will decide by 3 pm on the day of class and send you a Zoom link via email and text.
