Brian Plocharczyk
ASC faculty member Brian Plocharczyk booked a Chicago PD Co-Star role and on-camera and voiceover roles for the short film A Violent Flammable World.

This advanced scene study class invites experienced actors to deepen their craft through the lens of new work and the raw emotional terrain it demands. Rooted in the belief that great performance requires great courage, this course explores how fear—of failure, exposure, or not being “enough”—shapes artistic habits and how to unlearn them.
Working with dynamic, contemporary scenes pulled from freshly published plays and unproduced scripts, actors will sharpen their interpretive skills, heighten their responsiveness to text and partner, and cultivate greater vulnerability and presence on stage.

This is not a class for polishing. It’s a space for risk-taking, shedding armor, and embracing the unknown—for actors who want to grow, not just perform.
Please note, this advanced class requires significant outside work: students are required to rehearse outside of class a minimum of twice a week per scene.
