MASTER SCENE STUDY CLASS WITH TARA MALLEN
A class for professional actors who want to increase their agility with cutting-edge contemporary playwrights. In this Master Scene Study class, Rivendell Artistic Director Tara Mallen will take you on an exploration of the writings of two hot contemporary playwrights.
As a producer of numerous new plays/world premieres, Tara has developed, workshopped, directed, and acted in many, many new works. Works by these contemporary authors demand nuanced personalization, deep relationships, bold humor, and dazzling language skills. We will identify how each playwright structures dialogue, and actors will be pushed to create dynamic scene work. Significant work and rehearsal outside of class required.
Required: This is an advanced-level class designed for working professional actors. Strong theatre background and training, determined by headshot. resume and self-tape.
