Adult On Camera

AUDITION TO WRAP WITH SAMUEL ROUKIN

A comprehensive toolbox for the working TV and Film Actor.

In this dynamic six-week on-camera intensive with actor Samuel Roukin, actors will build a practical toolbox for every stage of the TV and film process — from audition to wrap. Through scene study, self-tape work, technical on-set training, improvisation, and filmed exercises, students will build confidence, deepen their on-camera presence, and sharpen the skills needed to work on set.

Actors will explore everything from active listening and camera awareness to hitting marks, adjusting performance for different shot sizes, and staying flexible under direction. Each week, using material from state-of-the-art productions, actors will apply their work directly on-camera in a collaborative environment. The course culminates in the final two weeks with a (self-written) filmed monologue shoot and a simulated live “Studio Screen Test”. Designed for actors ready to elevate their screen-acting craft, this class blends artistic growth with real-world industry technique.

Samuel Roukin is an actor, writer, and director. He is best known for his role as the villainous John Graves Simcoe on AMC’s TURN: Washington’s Spies, and the iconic character of Simon “Ghost” Riley in the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare franchise. On TV, he was most recently seen as Fitz in Crossfire for Amazon’s Secret Level. Other TV includes: Counterpart; Marvel's Agents of Shield; The Librarians; The Magicians; Salem; Housewife 49; Appropriate Adult (BAFTA for Best Drama); and Richard II produced by Sam Mendes. Read his bio for more credits.
