Are you a young adult actor looking to sharpen your audition game? Then we have the workshop for you!
Our Teen Theatre Workshop is taught by Goodman Theatre's Casting Director, Lauren Port. This 2-Day Workshop is designed to demystify the audition process from the "general" to the initial audition for a specific play, to the callback. Suggested for focused and passionate teen actors who already have some training and experience under their belt and wish to strengthen their process for theatrical auditions.
Day One: Focus on monologue work, audition skills, and the business of auditioning. Learn that the audition begins the moment you enter the room, the importance of bringing your authentic self to the process, and how to "book the room."
Day Two: Students work on auditioning with assigned scenes. Students learn how to effectively communicate and work with readers, as well as how to best take adjustments in the audition room.
Students must have one memorized 90sec - 2minute contemporary monologue prepared to work with during Day 1 of the workshop. After registration please email a copy of the monologue to info@actingstudiochicago.com - attn: Teen Audition WS.
